Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Japan Weekend Madrid and FB page

This month I attended Chibi Japan Weekend at Madrid. I am so happy I was able to cosplay as Liara T'Soni >_<! I started the costume as I bought the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC for Mass Effect 2, so I still had the whole Mass Effect 3 game to keep me hyped and motivated :D
It's my first time doing any kind of fx prosthetic, and even though it can be obviously improved, I'm very proud of the fact that I was able to do it on my own :) I've learned a lot on the process and now I'm eager to find another project that allows me to put that into practise.
Also, we had some special guests on this Japan Weekend: :iconelffi: :iconcalssara: :iconkamuicosplay: & :iconalexwazz: . Alessandro was already on Spain for Barcelona's Salon del Manga, where he met :iconnebulaluben: so he was interested in bringing his Shepard armor again so he could took some pictures with her Tali, and she told him about my Liara in progess. :icontaichia-photo: was in charge of setting up the photoshoots for the guests, so she invited us to join Alessandro in a great Mass Effect shooting *_* Once we got back to the con Jesús Clares ( www.jesusclares.es ) and :iconsendershiseiten: also took some pictures of us.  I can't wait to receive more pics!!

Recently I made a cosplay Facebook page, so I can upload all the progess pictures and cosplay related stuff I want without bothering the rest of my contacts, please check it out and like it if you want :) [link]

Now it's time to start on my next project, I'll join a big League of Legends group for Expomanga, hopefully as Syndra :)
